Selling your work

A premium listing is sold by you, through your own Polar checkout. The payment goes to your account and never passes through DragGo, which is why you keep every cent — there is no marketplace cut.

It also means DragGo cannot see a payment it was never part of. That one fact explains everything else on this page.

Because we do not see the payment, something has to tell us a sale happened. There are two ways, and the second is much better.

Your listing has a redeem link. You deliver it after purchase — in Polar’s post-checkout message, or by email — and the buyer opens it to unlock the template on their account.

Add DragGo as a webhook in your Polar dashboard and every paid order unlocks the template for the buyer the moment it happens. No links to send, nothing to remember.

  1. Add the webhook URL. Open Insights → Sales. With no sales yet the button says Connect Polar; once you have some it is Payout settings. Either opens the same panel. Copy the URL shown there. Add it as a webhook in your Polar dashboard and subscribe it to order.paid — that one event only. (order.created fires before the money arrives, so it would unlock unpaid orders.)

  2. Paste the signing secret. Polar shows you a secret when you create the webhook. Paste it back into the panel. It is what proves an incoming event is really from your Polar and not from somebody guessing your URL.

  3. Say which Polar product is which template. One line per product. Without it an order arrives with nothing to unlock.

The panel tells you exactly where you stand:

State What it means
Not connected Sales are invisible to DragGo; buyers need a redeem link from you by hand
Secret saved — nothing has arrived yet Set up, waiting on the first event Polar signs
Connected Polar has delivered signed events; buyers are unlocked automatically

Your sales feed shows every order, including the ones that need you:

  • unmapped — the Polar product is not matched to a template, so the buyer got nothing. Add the mapping in step 3 and it resolves.
  • unmatched — nobody with that email has a DragGo account yet. Nothing is lost: it unlocks by itself the moment they sign up.

Both the buyer and you are emailed when a sale completes, so neither of you is waiting on a page refresh to find out.

An unlock. Whether it came from a redeem link or from a connected Polar order, one buyer getting access counts once — re-redeeming does not count twice.
